up和
take
on都有“接受，担任”的意思。两者是同义词。
二者的区别是:takeup开始担当、takeon(一直或已经)担当。
例如：
（1）Mr
Z
was
chosen
Chairman
of
the
trade
union
and
he
was
happy
to
take
on
the
role.
（2）The
bus
stops
so
as
to
take
up
.
