The core of modern management theory is incentive principle, which refers to the psychological process of a certain motivation stimulating people have a certain built-in momentum towards some goal. The application of incentive principle in the hotel instry is to understand how to crate an environment of energy releasing for the employees and lead them
to reach the established goals. According to practices of modern motivate method, people should focus on correct guidance so as to meet the increasing demand to high-level requirements of the staff in order to more effectively mobilize the enthusiasm of the staff to reach management objectives of the hotel. Therefore, the staff in hotel human resources management department should understand and master the theory and method related incentive principle, taking staff-encouraging as one of the routine work in human resources management. So the job objectives of human resources management can be carried out. This essay discussed how to use Incentive principle to mobilize the enthusiasm of the staff and finally to reach the goal of enhancing the hotel’s cohesion, competitiveness.
