If you or someone you know comes down with a cold, here are some tips to cope and recover:

1) Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of liquids like hot tea, soup and broth can help alleviate congestion and soothe your throat.

2) Use a humidifier to keep the air in your bedroom and other areas of your house moist. This will reduce congestion and help your nose breath easier.

3) Drinking lemon tea or taking a teaspoon of honey can help sooth your throat and reduce congestion.

4) Get lots of rest. Your body needs time to recover, so make sure to get plenty of sleep and relaxation.

5) Get some exercise. Even though it may be difficult, it is important to try and get some light exercise such as walking to help boost your immune system.

6) Take over-the-counter medication like ibuprofen or acetaminophen to reduce fever and aches.

7)Avoid highly fragranced products and avoid cigarette smoke to reduce irritation to the nose and throat.

With these tips, you'll be able to fight off the cold and be back in health sooner.
