摘要：A package of flexible material having a radial opening into the axial openingthrough which the inner end of the material is led out is formed by winding the materialon a mandrel having outwardly sloping end forms with a guide moving with a constantstroke at a constant distance from the axis of the spindle and the stroke of which iscoordinated with the rotation of the spindle. The resulting package has outwardlysloping end walls. After the package is completed, it is compressed endwise until the endwalls are substantially perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the package.
